The Midway Boosters are pleased to introduce this year's Swiss Miss Royalty.  This year's pagaent was held March 28th, where five new representatives of Midway were chosen.  These young ladies will act as hostesses for Midway's annual Swiss Days event which will be September 4 & 5 at the Midway Town Square.  The royalty will also perform at public events such as Wasatch County Fair Days, Swiss Days and Swiss Christmas.

Sienna Wagstaff, Swiss Miss 2009: Daughter of Brad and NataLee Wagstaff and Granddaughter of Doug and Julie Wagstaff and the late Lowell and Sandra Berg 
Sienna is the oldest of four girls and a great example and friend to her sisters. She loves to laugh, make new friends, read, and spend time with her family. She is a high honor student and will be attending Timpanogos Intermediate this fall. Sienna spends her time playing competition soccer, boating, and snow skiing and dancing. She dances and competes with Wasatch Dance Center where her teams have received gold and platinum honors at regional dance competitions. Sienna has a rich Swiss heritage and is honored to represent Midway as the 2009 Swiss Miss. 

 
Aunica Hollingshead, Attendant:  Daughter of Heather Athay and Brandon Hollingshead and Granddaughter of Russ and Janet Athay and the late Dick Hollingshead and Sue Hollingshead

Aunica will be a seventh grader at Rocky mountain Middle School.  She enjoys playing guitar, dancing, singing, sports and reading the Twilight novels.  Her goals for the future are to graduate from college and become a doctor and her immediate goal is to do better in math.  Aunica is a fun loving and friendly girl who likes meeting new people and helping others.  She is excited about being involved as an attendant and the many opportunities that brings.

Brianna Rasband, Attendant:  Daughter of Jeff and Heather Rasband and Granddaughter of Vaughn and Diane Rasband and Val and Susan Warnick

Brianna is the oldest child in her family and a good example to her younger siblings.  The three best words to describe Brianna would be, compassionate, friendly and cheerful.  Brianna loves to be with her many friends, socializing and having fun.  She also likes to sing, dance, read and play the piano.  Brianna is a straight A student and recently graduated from 5th grade at Midway Elementary School.  She is excited to be a member of the Swiss Miss Royalty this year.

Olivia Snow, Attendant: Daughter of Kevin and Tara Snow and Granddaughter of Al and Launa Snow and Steve and Patricia Young

Olivia is one of four girls in her family.  She enjoys art, playing the piano, snow skiing and competing with Xtreme Power Cloggers on a national level.  Olivia is a very accomplished student and will be attending Timpanogos Intermediate School this fall.  She is a friend to everyone, loves animals and hopes to be a veterinarian someday.  Olivia feels honored to have been chosen to represent Midway in the Swiss Miss Royalty and is looking forward to the experiences she will have this year.

Kaitlyn Stone, Attendant:  Daughter of Tom and Jennifer Stone and Granddaughter of Ron and Robin Stone and Vaughn and Diane Rasband

Kaitlyn is 11 years old and is an honor student at Timpanogos Intermediate School this year.  She likes to laugh and have fun, is a good friend and has a talent for helping those around her feel good. Kaitlyn is the second oldest and only girl in her family. She loves riding four-wheelers at the Sand Dunes, can beat any boy in a leg wrestling match and is a huge Jazz fan. Kaitlyn also enjoys dance, gymnastics, piano, and being with her friends. She is having a great experience as part of the Swiss Miss Royalty this year.

While all of these young ladies have varied interests and talents, they share a love of community service.  They have been participating in the Midway City cleanup, planting flowers at the Midway Town hall, hostessing for the High Valley Arts Sound of Music performance and welcoming visitors at the annual Midway Fourth of July celebration.  Look for them in the future as they will be participating in other community service opportunites.  The Swiss Miss Royalty and their families are looking forward to a year full of memorable experiences and would like to thank the community for their support.
